The release date of the Droid Bionic has now been confirmed to be the 8th of September as portrayed by teaser commercials from Verizon Wireless. There is much turbulence in the smartphone world following rumors of the much anticipate iPhone 5 by Apple. The announcement of the release of the Droid Bionic can lead to several implications. The rumors of the iPhone 5 may convince potential buyers of the Droid Bionic to wait for the more coveted iPhone 5 while the very close release date of the Droid Bionic may tempt potential iPhone buyers to give the Droid Bionic a shot which may inadvertently lead to them sticking with the device resulting in reduced sales when the iPhone 5 is released. While rumors that the iPhone 5 release is expected to be in September, there hasn’t been much from Apple which usually isn’t the case if we are in the month that the new device is to be released.
The Droid Bionic is equipped with a monstrous 1Ghz Cortex-a9 processor and a GeForce GPU. Additionally it comes with an 8 megapixel camera, internal space of 16GB with expandable memory of up to 32GB. The Droid Bionic can certainly be compared with today’s top performing smartphones in terms of features and appearance.
